After reading a lot of posts about PS+ on diffrent forums, I don't quite understand why people are hating on it so much.
It has not broken any promises made (yet) as we have gotten out PSOne games and minis and big games (critter crunch and wipeout HD so far).
In the fine print of PS+ and WHEN YOU DOWNLOAD THE FREAKING GAMES you are told that any of the free content is only valid as long as your subscription lasts, so there really isn't any confusion as to how long you get to play those free games.
I will say that the game trial is cool but the games offered for it are pretty old (though I do like seeing full games as being downloadable now). I will also say that the content and discounts offered so far may not be up everyone's alley but so far it has only been a month.
Even without any of the discounts and add-ons, PS+ users have still gotten Wipeout HD, Critter Crunch and Syphon Filter to use for 3 or 15 months for the cost of their subscription (there are other games too, I'm just listing the more high profile ones).
Assuming the other 14 months go in a similar fashion as this one, PS+ users will basically have 15 pretty great PSN games, another 15 or so good ones and maybe 10 good PSOne classics. The length of time that people have access to these games will vary from 1 - 15 months, but still, an average of 8 months of unlimited access to 20-30 great games (probably a whole lot more plus all of the discounts) isn't worth $50 to the current PS+ subscribers?
Obviously if you don't game that much and wouldn't have time or desire to play through the games then it would be a waste of money for you, but PS+ isn't targeted at those users anyway.
So, where does the PS+ hate come from only a month in? Sony hasn't gone back on any promises (even with updates every 2 weeks now, you just get more content every 2 weeks) nor have they tricked anyone with the game "rentals."
Maybe peeps on the interwebz just like to rage?
