I approve of this thread!

I thought I was going to come in and see a bunch of people saying OMGQTFBBQ Play FF7 it is the BEST GAME EVAR!

While FF7 was a "good" game I think 9 is the best of the series.  I like 4 as well, and like how they beefed it up for the DS.

FF6 was also awesome, I loved Shadow :)

No, you can skip those lol.

Play IX and VI and you're pretty much done with the truly great games. If you're bored you can play VII, VIII, and X just to have something else similar, but yeah, not nearly as good as the others.

To each their own, but if he's enjoying IV a lot he'll probably like IX and VI better ad the other Sakaguchi games, rather than VII, VIII, and X which Sakaguchi had barely anything to do with.
