Maybe in many years when Steam has it on sales for like 5 bucks.

But I guarantee 20 million people will pirate it. Probably a 100 million!

And? Starcraft 2 will still be more profitable than Modern Warfare 2 or any other Activision game (except World of Warcraft)

Blizzard games aren't for sale on steam. However they do sell games on Battle.et which is quite huge in its own right.

With 20 million it would be the best selling PC game ever? with the first "the Sims" now at 16 million..

IMO It hasn't got that casual appeal to push it over 16 million...

It actually wouldn't surprise me if wow hasn't sold more then the sims considering it has over 11 million subscribers. However of course its hard to track considering many players in asia don't buy the game in the same way as people do in the west. EG they pay per hour in china for example.

Sure WOW could have sold more than the Sims.. could be 20plus (wtf happens to symbols -) million but for starcraft 2 to reach that.. I don't think an RTS can reach it.. sims and wow have a larger appeal..

Sure it will buddy. MW2 has sold about 20 million on consoles a lone. All versions still rank high on sales charts. On top of that, they sold millions of copies of the MW2 expansion.

Though a 2 million more than the original is a lot less than saying 9 million more for SC :)

Now I know you're trolling.

Warcraft 3 did far more than it's predecessor, and could have sold up to 10 millions. It shipped 4.5 million units in just a month, of which over 1 millions were sold to gamers.

See it this way, Starcraft 2 sold 1.5 millions in only 2 days, while it took 9 months for Starcraft to sell the same!

Oh, and Starcraft 2's figure doesn't even include Korean sales!

Starcraft 2 will keep selling for over a decade, selling millions every year. Think about that.

I was going by VGC numbers :P
