That's actually not correct. 

As much as I love Lost Odyssey (My second favourite game this gen), it's emotional depth doesn't even touch some completely earth-shattering moments in some old games. 

Maxim and Selen dying scene in Lufia II, the Opera Scene in FFVI, Pankraz's death scene in DQV, Sniper Wolf death in MGS, and many other scenes have far more emotional depth and meaning that even the most emotional moment in Lost Odyssey, Lirium's Death.

I used to purchase every JRPG that was made for every console I have owned.  But this generation, I have all but given up on them.  I rent them, finish them and move along to the next one.  Lost Odyssey is probably my favorite this gen.

Sadly, I have been forced to turn to WRPG's.   Seems like the reason for the lack of Great JRPG's this gen is  due to production costs.  The amount of money that it takes to make a game now days is unbelievable.  And a lot of the people who make JRPG's simply can't afford to spend what it takes.  Thats why they are all released on the DS or PSP.

I didn't know which to put. Blue Dragon is fun, but I hate MaruMaro and I wasn't too fond of Eternal Sonata's VO either, but I enjoyed the battle system.

Come to think of it, I should probably go back and try playing ES again.

Because gameplay, world and story and more important then graphics, thats why, and I really don't see how graphics help with emotion FF6 is more likely to get you emotional then FFXIII

No more condoms for you then right?  You should call up the developers and thank them for your new found ability to go raw without worry except for diseases but we all know only dirty people get STD's and as long as you think happy thoughts like yer jumping out a window with Peter Pan they can't hurt you.

Lost Odyssey was good.  

I'd have Infinite Undiscovery on the list.

Resonance of Fate I got for PS3, played for a few hours, really did not enjoy it at all

FF13 was  a good game, but got for PS3 as well, so..

Star Ocean 4 I shelved as well, but it was even better than Enchanted Arms

The Last Remnant I never played, though it looked good to me a lot of people said it sucked, I will probably pick it up someday

Blue Dragon, meh the boxart looked meh, never played

Tales of Vesparia was shelved as well

Eternal Sonata - Honestly I think I have heard of this game, but if so it was just the tiniest blips on my radar.  Was that any good?  I have weird RPG tastes though.  Everyone said how Valkyria Chronicles was so good, bought that, sadly disappointed (though I should have known as I am not a SRPG fan)

I'd struggle to make a top 10 list this gen, I don't know if I could, between all the systems, unless you counted games like Mass Effect.

I echo the statement that this gen really kinda sucks when it comes to the RPG fan.
