i've never really followed this sites numbers as i just generally go by what the companies say themselves.  plus i really dont care about the sales anyway just the games that are going to be release by the big 3.

Looks like Brett dealt with it well enough

He's saying our numbers should be shipped numbers. Which is wrong.

Oh well, quickly proven wrong

It seems Brett is handling it...

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Does NPD reveal its sources? Because I think not, and they're considered reliable. Of course I could be wrong.

Anyway, the main point of the article is probably correct but other than that, the arguments are pretty flawed. At least it seems Brett's got it.

However, what I find problematic for a site's credibility is incorrect grammar. I see "their" when there should be "they're", I see "games" when there should be "game's", and so on. It doesn't look professional, it looks amateurish. I haven't read that many articles here lately but at least a while ago I used to see those things quite often. And I'm not saying I can write better, nor that everyone should, but it doesn't look professional; that's the way you write on forums, not in articles. It's not a big issue but it's probably one of the first things you notice.

some funny comments on there...

always that neogaf comment when you see something on vgchartz

Damn, they really hate this site.

His thinking is really wrong.  He's comparing a statisticaly analysis dealing with 40 million units to a statsitical analysis dealing with a game that sold 600k units.  If you figure out what 300k is of 41.4 million, it's .007246, multiply that by 600k, and you have an error of approximately 4400 units either way.  As somebody who is going into statistics, this is not! how you would properly find the degree of error in their calculations, but I figure it is a quick and easy way that will show at least an estimate of how close their numbers are for those games.  It is probably a little more than that, but regardless, saying that since they are 300k off on the 40 million and saying then that they are 300k off for small games is dumb.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

What are you guys doing focussing on the numbers?  Didn't you read the comment that claimed Brett was kicked from Gaf for trading Porn?  Doesn't sound true to me, but still funny as hell.
