Everything at the demo station at E3. To be fair, not that much was actually playable as a lot were tech demos, but the eyestrain is the same regardless.

U are the first person that ever in any site saying this kind of stuff... maybe u are just to vulnerable to 3D.

I'm definitely not the only person to be able to use the 3DS without eyestrain. You should look up more E3 previews. That said, there were a couple games that were just using the 3D so horribly it hurt, but only cause of the game, not the technology. Resident Evil 3DS was one of these. There are some 3D movies like this too. 3D can be used well or poorly, but Kid Icarus was one of the ones that used it well.

I gonna be honest with u , i went almost every single hands on i could read IGN/GAMESPOT all of those and much others, i can only remeber one guy from gamespot saying that he could not see the 3d effects (but he could see any 3d even using glasses) as i sad i a happy to have health eyes and 3D dont hurt my eyes i dont fell bad at all and i LOOOVE 3D boy, and without glasses is way better (i all ready had the opportunity to take a look at panasonic's WOW VX display)

When did I ever say I couldn't see the 3D effects?

No i not saying that you sad that , i saying that the only negative comments i saw about 3DS'S 3D was this one , and also that take a few second to get used too.

To end this my opinion is that if you have problems with 3D on 3DS even adjusting the 3d slider you also will have problems with other kinds of 3D and if you are OK with 3d after watching avatar you should do fine with 3ds.

This.

Also guys we all must know, that 3DS's 3D is way less intrusive to the eyes than a pair of 3D glasses from the theaters.

Nintendo 3DS is neat, im gonna get one first day, but thats no reason to downplay the other tech. LCD shutter glasses as seen in Nvidia 3D vision and PS3 works flawlessly, is not intrusive to the eyes and is more impressive than a glassless parallax barrier screen... Im wondering on what your are basing your statement of glassless 3D being less intrusive. For example, you could have said it was less hassle. But nothing prove that it is less intrusive, on the contrary, since LCD shutter glasses is already not intrusive to the eyes. Beware that in regular cinema its called polarise glasses, which is not the same technology and cause some ghosting.

Did u played the 3DS ?

I tried the same tech but not the 3DS itself. I do know very well how different 3D tech works. I already had 3D at home 7 years ago both, and I really really like all kinds of 3D. On my part I dont have any problem with any kind of 3D, that includes parallax barrier screen. But, LCD shutter glasses is more comfortable, more precise, whatever your viewing angle or distance from screen it is always working flawlessly. Parallax barrier screen is bound to cause more problem than LCD shutter glasses even tough it is glassless. To see 3D each eye should receive a different image right? Glasses can control that at 100%. Parallax barrier screen, depending on your adjustment (slider), will emit 2 light signal (image) at 2 different angle, so each eye get his own, which creates the 3D. If you move frontward or backward or change your viewing angle your messing that up. This obviously will cause more problem to sensitive person.

Glassless is neat, but not a better way of seeing 3D with the current mass market tech, that is my point. Its not about 3DS suck or PS3 3D suck, its about parallax barrier screen 3D being less effective and precise than LCD shutter glasses 3D. Both are cool, they dont suck, I wouldnt want to use a handheld carrying a pair of strange sunglasses with me on the street.

About 3D glasses and regular glasses. I think its people that dont wear regular glasses that thinks its a problem to wear both. Actually, I remember when I was a teen and had to wear glasses, it took me a couple of days to develop the habit and be use to it. Wearing 3D glasses is as natural as wearing my regular glasses. Because of that It even should be less of a problem to person that already wear glasses. Wearing both is a non issue, it doesnt change anything.

Conclusion, I easily understand why people prefer glassless 3D, I would easily prefer it too if it would give the same results. But, by any mean, im glad 3DS will not use glasses as it would really be a problem for a handheld.

You say it like 3D is a bad thing.

I have worn glasses for longer than most people here have been alive (43 out of my 46 years). I have used 3D at special theatres and have had some success -- but I have to stay focused for I lose it quickly. I have tried the TV displays at stores without much success. So I would not necessarily say that the tech behind the PS3 will work for those who wear glasses.

Back on topic, there is an old saying "Your mileage may vary." I think that is quite appropriate for 3D and nausea.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I dont think your problem with 3D is related to your glasses. Wearing regular glasses beneath 3D glasses doesnt affect the images. My argument about regular glasses tough wasnt that it is easier or better to see 3D. But that it may be less annoying to people who wear regular glasses since they are used to wearing glasses already. At least, thats the case for me.

Between, you arent suppose to be focus to see 3D using glasses. When each eye is getting a different image seeing in 3D is natural. Polarise glasses (used in regular theaters) doesnt totally blocks the image that suppose to be going at 1 eye from going partially to the other. This will give a small blurry aspect (ghosting) to the picture. You should still see 3D tough.

It has been something like years 15 since I watched anything in 3D [last was the Muppet "4D" at MGM Studios in Orlando, and it had the tinted glasses, not red/blue] so I'm hoping when I finally get my hands on a 3DS that it won't bother me. Same for 3D on PS3. I think it is a neat option that you can turn it off on the 3DS just in case the 3D does get to you.

Since I'm a noob to this stuff.....can you do this on 3D TVs ?

Probably

It's just a case of getting used to it. When I first got a DS, I felt nauseous playing it because my eyes weren't used to moving '3D' (ie SMB64DS) so close to my face. I pushed through it and it went away after a few weeks. I'm sure the same will be the case for the 3DS.

Your probably right, most person will have no problem after getting used to it.
