Gonna go with XBox since it has Red Dead, Mass Effect 2 and Halo Reach.

I think LittleBigPlanet 2 will snipe some GoTY awards.

Red Dead Redemption - PS3/360

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Wii

Mass Effect 2 - 360/PC

StarCraft 2 - PC

Halo Reach - 360

God of War 3 - PS3

Little Big Planet 2 - PS3

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm - PC

It's a tie from me between PC, 360 and PS3 for quantity. If i had to go with any SINGLE platform though, i would choose the PC. StarCraft 2 is just too much to argue against IMO...

And i like how my list makes a cool shape.

I'm going to call PS3.

Red Dead Redemption and LittleBigPlanet 2 are both going to get massive numbers. SMG2 will have loads as well, but it would look slightly odd, since quite a few sites gave the award to SMG in 2007 (that said, quite a few gave it to LBP in 2008, but not nearly as many).

I'd like to think GoW3 and Heavy Rain will get a few. The rest, not really.

The Wii will be a very close second, but Wii games don't tend to review as well (put that down to what you will). SMG2 will get tons, Kirby might score a couple. I don't see Metroid or Monster Hunter getting any, really. Donkey Kong could get a few.

360 in third, largely thanks to RDR, with some help from Mass Effect 2. None of the others will really be GoTY material, I don't think.

PC in fourth. Some great games, but does anyone ever give the award to a PC game?

DS and PSP will both be way down, only because people don't even think about those two when handing out awards.

So yeah, PS3, with Wii a close second.

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West (PS360) and LA Noire (PS360) might get some, assuming the latter launches and the former is good. Probably more than Persona 3 Portable :-/

I'm just curious as to how Halo: Reach isn't GOTY material, unless you haven't been paying attention to what's been announced...

Other than some new powerups and weapons, I'm not aware of any massive changes to the Halo formula, but I could be wrong; I haven't really been following it.

EDIT: I'm not saying it won't be fantastic. I'm just saying it won't beat the likes of RDR, LBP2 and SMG2 (or ME2). It will certainly win some awards, just not a huge number.

Are people forgetting about Assassin's Creed Brotherhood?!!! I hope people realise that AC II did get just as many GOTY Awards as Modern Warfare 2. It's a Contender.

And you should add the following which aren't already on your list Seece. These are potential Contenders remember, not saying they will definitely get GOTYs:

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (PS3/X360), Fallout New Vegas (PS3/X360) , Crysis 2 (PS3/X360/PC), Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker (PSP)

I put down ACB and FNV as PS3/X360 only because thoses are the platforms they're most likely to win on and Crysis 2 will contend for PC as well as all Consoles.

Put me down as PS3.

All I can predict right now with regards to GOTY Awards this year is that it won't be like 2009 where Uncharted 2 swept over 100 Awards. It's gonna be varied.
