http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/3957063/Teen-in-16-storey-fall-up-and-about

"LATEST: A 15-year-old boy who fell from his 16th-floor apartment on Thursday night is now up and about in hospital.

He is expected to be discharged on Friday. "

Don't try this at home folks.

That's one lucky kid. I wonder what was going through his mind for the second or 2 he was falling.

what are the odds. lol

Well if it wasn't on purpose, how would a 15  year old be dumb enough to fall over?

At least now he'll be more careful.

Considering that seems almost impossible to accidentally do, I'm going to assume he did it on purpose.

He must think "God" really hates him for letting him live. He is destined to suffer in this world for a bit longer.

*kid jumps out window to kill himself*

God: "LOL No."

*kid doesn't die and goes on cursing this life*

Damn, I didn't even think that would be possible.

Better than you would probably assume:

"A window washer who fell 47 stories from the roof of a Manhattan skyscraper is now awake, talking to his family and expected to walk again."

While I would say that it is amazingly uncommon, and no one should ever risk it, there have been several incidents in my life where people survived accidents that (by all accounts) should have killed them.

^Who the hell are these lucky people. I want to know their secret.

The secret to falling is relaxation. The human body is an amazing machine that knows how to spread impact energy over a great area. The issue arises that often when a person knows they are going to have an impact often tense up which prevents the energy distribution. If you going to fall try to be unconscious. There are of course limits to this. Hitting head first and it doesn't matter.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
