Forums - Nintendo - EA Boss Lavishes 3DS with Praise

It's "incredibly cool" and "magical", you know

Magical like Ryu's Hadouken

Just in case you thought the world had forgotten about 3DS since the newsplosion that was E3 2010, EA reminds you the machine is coming with a few choice words.

The company's Chief Operating Officer, John Schappert, spoke to IndustryGamers and bestowed high praise on the machine, calling it "incredibly cool" and "magical". Mr Schappert also thinks the machine will convert its technological promise into cold hard cash for Nintendo:

I think that device is going to sell like hot cakes. I think it's going to do incredibly well, and in typical Nintendo fashion they have re-energized the industry, yet again. I give them nothing but credit and we are excited to be supporting that platform with Madden, FIFA and The Sims that we announced.

EA's CEO John Riccitello called the machine "cool" even before its announcement at E3, so it's good to see the company holding firm to its "3DS is cool" party line.

There'll be more 3DS content coming soon, including some very special content next week, so stay tuned.

Man, Nintendo hasn't said one word about this device since the E3 explosions from Iwata. I won't be surprised if they did another PR out of nowhere telling us the release date and price of this beast.

3DS Friend Code:   4596-9822-6909

Man, can't wait for the 3ds to be released,

Sounds more and more that this is going to be the first handheld I ever owned.

A stupid question, with the camera in it, willI be able to upload the photos to a PC?

3rd parties are just loving the 3DS, but will that transfer into high quality non-port support?

If it's a more attractive platform than PSP2, yes. And if the PSP2 doesn't show up for a while, certainly.

Third parties had a bad experience on the PSP with software sales and piracy. The reasons to develop for it over the DS were PS2 audience overlap, graphics power and percieved hardcore audience. Well, the first reason has vanished as PS2 has faded, the 3DS has more than enough graphics power to make any game without being limited by hardware, and the 3DS will have more of a core audience at launch than the DS did.

Nice to see so much praise being heaped upon it. Now if Nintendo would actually give us a release date and price at some point.

IMO 3DS is shaping up to be the Best thing since the PS2.

@ Slimebeast

You can save the photos to an SD Card and just put it right in a computer.
