Forums - Nintendo - First 5 minutes of Goldeneye Wii

Hey look, it's Call of GoldenEye!

Around the Network

Hmm, not bad.  I still think it's a stupid idea for the same company to release two FPS games on the same month, but then it's not my money.

Looks pretty good, though i've never been a fan of stealth elements.

Really have to see how this stacks up against Conduit 2.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

It must be killing Activision not to release this game as a multi-plat.  Wouldn't surprise me if a strangely similar game called "Olden Guy 700" was released for the PS3/360.

--It's been so long since I've played an FPS on the Wii that I've forgotten how good the controls were.  This game looks pretty damned good but more importantly, it looks like it plays good (or is that "plays well"?)!  I may end up buying this.......

Well they have another Bond game for the other systems. So they got around it.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Wowe, after seeing the rushed W@W and Reflex, im suprised to see the COD engine running so smoothly on Wii. A very solid frame rate and controls that work without horrible aim assist. I really liked seeing the lean feature return in a functional way, no fps that im aware of had it since MoHH2. I also loved being able to actually move the screen while in ADS mode.

I am very impressed.

Despite the comments there's actually shadows on the face, if people weren't paying attention little things like the water pouring off that guard tower was louder as he stepped closer to it and softer when he walked away, the cover system looks really good something similar to Killzone 2 but unlike that game the things you take cover behind slowly break away, I like the little details, it can be polished up some more and hopefully they do, but it does look good.

As of right now this is probably my top pick for an FPS this fall especially since no one seems to be releasing Black Ops Wii videos, The Conduit 2 has yet to show much I care about other than splitscreen.

MaxwellGT2000 - "Does the amount of times you beat it count towards how hardcore you are?"

Wii Friend Code - 5882 9717 7391 0918 (PM me if you add me), PSN - MaxwellGT2000, XBL - BlkKniteCecil, MaxwellGT2000

My hype has been raised 0_o

Looks cinematic, and I'm really craving a more cinematic game on my wii.

I'm sorry but that looked outdated in comparison to modern shooters imho.....I'm sure you guys will be better off with Conduit 2 or something...

I can't believe some of you are so impressed with this? Looks like a bit upgraded ps2 game...way to ruin a classic

No, it doesn't. I've played PS2 FPS, from the Half-Life port (which is noted to have even better graphics than the original game) to Black. It doesn't look like one.

hmmm, shadows would be nice, otherwise Call of Bond. I like how some environments are destructible also.

It's a dark environment, so the shadows of the characters are just hard to make out.

I'm talking about cast shadows, the ones on the ground, not even the characters have them, they are just dark blobs under the moving objects.

Okay, but real time shadows are not that easy. Sure the HD systems mostly have them, but with the Wii, it really would be a drain on the specs. So not every game can have them.

the CoD engine blows on Wii is more like it.....

No, it's already looking better than Modern Warfare Reflex. Just because an effect or two isn't in there yet is not a reason to dismiss the whole thing.

I didn't dismiss it though =P I did say what I liked about it lol. Shadows would be nice though =_=

I'd be happy with like cast shadows, you know, shadow on the ground, the dark blob is just disturbing to my eyes lol. otherwise I think it looks fine and pretty refined.
