While we all had a feeling this is where the pricing was going to end up, now that we know I think we can officially say that MS is going for massive sales this holiday season. At this pricing Kinect may sell over 5 million this holiday and the $199 slim Arcade launching in August is going to be massive.
I thought MS blew it at E3 not discussing these details, but better late than never.

actually those things are chip, infrared its OLD its precursor to bluetooth, and it uses DIRT CHEAP 1.3mpx CMOS sensor, the ones used in cheap notebooks.
voice recognition is software, ups3 have have 4 way mic array, and better sensor than kinect cost less than 40$
wat does the 4gb 360 just console cost in EU and uk im getting 150 pound and others saying 130 pound?

Microsoft was smart not burying the details of the Kinect launch and bundles at E3. Now a month later, they can keep Kinect in the news and they got to undercut Sony's PS3/Move bundle by $100. I also think they made a wise decision of packaging Kinect Adventures with it instead of Kinect Sports. Everybody has already played Wii Sports. At Least Kinect Adventures has the perception of being a different experience.
Barring an unforeseen disaster Microsoft is primed for a great holiday.

Seriously. I was waiting for that bundle announcement before getting the 360 S, but now I guess I'll just buy the 360 S separately and Kinect one of these days...

what are you talking about you have no logic to your comment how is that expensive better than no hard drive and still only 199 and comes with wifi etc... i say its a better value than ps3 other than blu-ray thats all sony's got on 360 which nobody even cares about

How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...
Xbox 360 wants to Kinect & PS3 wants to Move! Why are both systems having such relationship problems? The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.
