£130 is confirmed.

The UK has got ripped off by basically everyone this generation, especially PS3 prices.

$299 and £250 is just ridiculous.

Hey man... I live in Europe.. we even get more ripped off then you guys....

$300 is a tiny bit high considering how low console prices are these days.

But I think that it's a good deal. But $150 for stand-alone? That's stupid.

Well The Kinect Arcade bundle is not bad.  $299 for a new 360 with Kinect and Kinect Adventures.

Its looks a way better deal than buying a knetics stand alone with a game for 150 i mean it does not comes with the console so the Wii still is a better choice but for 300 packed with it has a way better chance to sell.

GO PATS! 2012 THE YEAR OF NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS'S 4TH SUPER BOWL!

It is, indeed. It's like the whole world is paying extra for video games in general so that the Americans can have it cheaper; and then whine about it being expensive...

Will sell well, but it's not enough in my opinion.

Good for profit, but without doubt now (at least in my mind), the PS3 will at some point have sold more units than the Xbox 360.

It's a good thing the general public and casual audience doesn't share yours or even any of our gaming forum goers' opinions, then.

It's been priced at $150 this whole time WITHOUT a game included and still been rocking the preoders like crazy.

We will see. Preorders are horrible representations of retail sales.

And I did say it will sell way, and that it is good for profit - which many do agree with.

The only subjective bits are the 'not enough' part and the PS3 outselling part.

First, in response to the implied presumption that pre-order sales will be "rocked even harder" with the addition of an included game, I have to say that the inclusion of Kinect Adventures is not added incentive for consumers to buy Kinect, whether it's the standalone kit or a Kinect bundle.

That's like throwing in a copy of Wii Play without the extra remote.

In fact, I'd kind of hope that for the holidays, MS will also throw in at least one more decent "regular" title to go along with Adventures in their Kinect/console bundles.

Secondly, I totally agree that the pre-orders (which have sharply tapered off in the weeks following E3) are a pretty poor indicator for actual retail sales.

Regardless, I think the Kinect bundles will move quite well this holiday season. If not... maybe we'll be seeing those slashed SKU prices Xbox fans were predicting sooner than later.

Microsoft will also be selling a new bundle that includes the redesigned Xbox 360 with 4GB of internal flash memory and the Kinect kit for $300 starting on Nov. 4. News of the bundle first broke on Kotaku last month.

that will do well....

That is really the important price.  MS wants new customers with Kinect.  So the bundle is priced right.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

would anyone here buy the 360 kinect bundle to replace their old 360 if it breaks down? a 4gb console, i mean if a customer goes and see a ps3 for 300$(the white is going to be at 360 gb, dont know if its coming to the us or not, the normal one is how much 160 gb, 120 gb?) a x360 for 300$(250 gb) and a x360(4gb) with kinect what are they going to choose? if they feel like buying a hard drive then it will be the one with kinect, but are people willing to pay more then 450$?

i don't think so. well you never know most sales are going to be us/uk/europe so anything is possible. will kinect be doomed?  it's not doomed, but i already can't find an audience for it, i dont think that gears of war or halo fans will get kinect unless its for their family(a.k.a selnor), and their are two consoles on the market with motion controls and to the casuals the wii is more popular. so if kinect moves hardware it will be taking sales from the wii. i dont see playstation move moving consoles unless it's people who have the wii and they want to upgrade( but thats highley unlikely).

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

The Ball is now in Nintendo and Sony's camps.

At the moment : 2 PS Moves PSEye Sport Champion = Same price as Kinect

But I'm not sure if Move an Kinect can success if Wii price is cut to 149 $

That's a little dicey.

If Nintendo goes with a $149 price, I would expect to see the Wii Sports Resort/M Plus bundling to be dropped.

As it stands, the $199 Sports Resort bundle is still a pretty good value and I'm not sure Nintendo needs to drop into "defensive pricing mode" just yet.

$150 with a game seems just about right.  After kinect preordering well at $150 w/o a game, it is no suprise it is $150 with a game (actually, this is even better)

This looks good for both MS and Sony.  Both can now leave their prices where they are (at least for now) and bring in a good profit margin for the rest of the year.

No pricedrops this year basically confirmed (and this is a GOOD THING).  Time to heal their wounds (MS and Sony) and recoup their overall losses.  This should make for one hell of an interesting Xmas.

Btw: Vgchartz should consider trying to track these accessory sales (Kinect bundles vs. Move bundles)  Would be interesting to see, that is for sure.

It's hard enough to track sales let alone accessories.

this news further confirms this in your mind?

btw... at what point?

Yes, this, in terms of WW sales is game set and match in my mind.

- The 360 is a year older, is seen as less future proof and has less price cuts left in it.

- The PS3 is seen as more future proof, and still has nearly $200 to lose before it hits the PS2 prices of today.

Microsoft are going for profit now in my mind, and they will still be able to hold it in there for a year or more in terms of sales. But the PS3 just has a longer future now to me.

I see the PS3 overtaking 360 sales once the new Xbox is launched though, not this generation.

I have a bias (along with basically everyone), and could be wrong, but it's just what I think now.

Does someone need to remind you that since November 2005 the 360 core price has dropped $100.  At launch had a HDD unit for $400 and a HDD less unit for $300. Now HDD unit for $300 and HDD less unit for $200.    MS still has room and I believe they just gave themselves more room to drop Kinect price next year as that hardware reduces in price. They will get the early adopters this year even at $150 and the new 360 customers at $300.  Next year they can drop the standalong Kinect to $100 and new console to $200 with Kinect.
