Will sell well, but it's not enough in my opinion.

Good for profit, but without doubt now (at least in my mind), the PS3 will at some point have sold more units than the Xbox 360.

this news further confirms this in your mind?

btw... at what point?

Yes, this, in terms of WW sales is game set and match in my mind.

- The 360 is a year older, is seen as less future proof and has less price cuts left in it.

- The PS3 is seen as more future proof, and still has nearly $200 to lose before it hits the PS2 prices of today.

Microsoft are going for profit now in my mind, and they will still be able to hold it in there for a year or more in terms of sales. But the PS3 just has a longer future now to me.

I see the PS3 overtaking 360 sales once the new Xbox is launched though, not this generation.

I have a bias (along with basically everyone), and could be wrong, but it's just what I think now.

Does someone need to remind you that since November 2005 the 360 core price has dropped $100.  At launch had a HDD unit for $400 and a HDD less unit for $300. Now HDD unit for $300 and HDD less unit for $200.    MS still has room and I believe they just gave themselves more room to drop Kinect price next year as that hardware reduces in price. They will get the early adopters this year even at $150 and the new 360 customers at $300.  Next year they can drop the standalong Kinect to $100 and new console to $200 with Kinect.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
