So if I don't buy a bunch of games that might be crappy instead of the few Nintendo games that I know will be awesome, then I'm not a man???

No wonder I have such great conversations with women.

By 'man up', I mean hold up your end of the deal.

It's a statement inferring that that many vocal Wii gamers demand more games focused on them yet only a small portion actually buy the very titles aimed at them.   Part of being a man is owning up to obligations and as a collective unit, we've not done that very well.

You got that wrong. We demanded good games. Third parties didn't deliver, so we didn't buy. The Wii gamers are only the bad guys, if you leave crucial details out of your story.

Although a lot of the lesser selling games are still good, but not hit material, and would not be hit material on any system.

Who really needs to man up are developers realizing that one core game is not as good as another.

And here, I'll agree with you.  But calling out developers and publishers is fodder for a different editorial.  One front at a time.

Well I've certainly not neglected even the smaller games when I found I would like them. You can see it on my Wii games list.

I take issue with the fact that the highest rated third party game on the console that is neither a port of a last generation game or called Rock Band, Guitar Hero or Tiger Woods PGA Tour is a niche RTS/life-sim/collectathon crossover from a now bankrupt developer called Little King's Story.

It was mentioned earlier, but i too cannot believe that it is such an arduous task for third parties to make a game for the Wii with the same kind of effort that is clearly seen among their works for the other consoles. That said, Muramasa: The Demon Blade is one of my favorite games on the Wii and i am very supportive of great third-party Wii games. I have a healthy list of numerous games i intend to purchase.

How technical is your game?

The Conuit 2 I may rent but since the first was lame as hell as far as the story goes and I had to fight myself to finish the game I don`t have much hype for the sequel. As for Goldeneye I want to love it but I fear that this remake will not be able to live up to the original. I will rent first and buy later if I like it enough.  May have to get the Virtual Console controller for Goldeneye if I like it because I HATE the way FPS games play on Wii. I especially hate how my screen spins like crazy when I want to rest my arm while playing them on Wii. Kirby Epic Yarn seems cool along with Donkey Kong 3 but I just can`t get into 2d games like I used to. Muramasa was the last one in years that I thoroughly enjoyed that was a retail release game.  So for me I may get Goldeneye but everything else is a rental at most for the rest of the year. The only for sure buy for Wii I have in the upcoming 12 months is Zelda Skyward Sword.

PS: I forgot about Arc Rise Fantasia...I been lookign forward to playing this game and plan to get it but not till it goes down in price I will play it using Gamefly and buy at a later date.

How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

But But! I bought Conduit, Metroid Prime Trilogy, and both No More Heroes games!

All joking aside (yes I do own those titles, check my collection), you've got a point viper. A very sharp point filled with poison (see what I did there?). And you are right. Nintendo didn't abandon their fans during the GCN generation. Games you mentioned such as Eternal Darkness, MGS: Twin Snakes, and Viewtiful Joe. Plus the Capcom 5 (even though one was canceled and the other 3 ported to other systems). Nintendo has been trying all along. People seem to forget that the entire point of videogames is to make money. Not to please fanbases. First, and foremost, it's about making money (by pleasing your fanbases). But if there is more money to be had in a mini-game collection over an epic adventure game, what title do you think company X is going to make?

"I especially hate how my screen spins like crazy when I want to rest my arm while playing them on Wii."

That's been fixed in recent games.

All you need to rest your arm is a proper chair. I leave mine on the arms of the chair while playing only moving them up to throw grenades/melee etc...

As already noted, this is no longer an issue.  I find it odd that you say you played the first Conduit yet it was the first title that started the camera fix thing to begin with.

You should also play Wii FPS's with yoru arm already in a rested position such as the chair, couch, your lap, etc....  You don't need to hold your arm out to point at all for any game.
