Nintendo didn't abandon their fans during the GCN generation. Games you mentioned such as Eternal Darkness, MGS: Twin Snakes, and Viewtiful Joe. Plus the Capcom 5 (even though one was canceled and the other 3 ported to other systems). Nintendo has been trying all along. People seem to forget that the entire point of videogames is to make money. Not to please fanbases. First, and foremost, it's about making money (by pleasing your fanbases). But if there is more money to be had in a mini-game collection over an epic adventure game, what title do you think company X is going to make?
