Beat the game.

Good game. Glad I bought it. May beat it a few more times since it's so short.

Least of the Metroids I've played, though.

Mechanics ar solid. Bosses are great, some of the best in the series. The final boss alone is Hell on wheels. I'm glad Team Ninja was on board for this.

Keep Team Ninja, keep the animation studio doing the CGI, Hell, you can even keep Sakamoto as producer - but the man is given to excesses in ways that aren't appropriate, and he shouldn't be writing stories.

From what I've played thus far, it seems that Metroid Prime 2: Echoes will still be the only Metroid game I'll never beat.

The gameplay is solid, very solid. That's all I can really ask for.

My copy will get here on the 7th. I'll probably start it up after I finish VC II. Will be the first metroid game I will ever finish probably. Lol.

cut scenes are pretty long..at first..but so far..damn this is a great game..some issues here and there...but the boss battles are nuts. Love the FPS mode. anyone havin issues tho with their disc reading?

Well, it is dual-layered, so my launch Wii had a couple of issues loading it up. I remember when the same thing happened for Brawl (my friends' Wii actually had to be repaired) and Metroid Prime Trilogy. There's just something about those dual-layered discs that some Wiis just don't like.

When Metroid prime 3 came out i had to send my wii in because the laser they installed wouldnt read dual layer disk. Since then tho i havent had an issue. Im starting to think its the disk tho. argh..

Writing, and little incentive to replay and speedrun. I'll play it again - it's short enough I'll play it many times - but I'd like for there to have been multiple ending shots.

The new difficulty looks sweet as Hell but, again, that's Team Ninja.

The writing isn't just god-awful atrocious (though it is at the start!), but on the whole the writing and acting is way, way below par for what I expect out of my games. If you don't care about that, then there shouldn't be any problem. It's a fun game.

That's true... Other M's disc felt... almost bumpy on the outside. Kinda weird.

This post almost made me want to buy the game. Almost.

Then I saw *shudders* this.

Please, oh please, tell me that the cutscenes are skippable.

If I told you what the penultimate boss battle was, you would shit your pants in amazement and delight.

I don't know if they're skippable. Haven't tried yet.

They aren't skippable on your first playthrough. After that, you can skip them.
