Peace Walker bombed.  Wonder if it made top 20?

It didn't bombed. NPD does not track bundle and Peace Walker was bundled with the PSP.

Even bundled, the game likely sold well under 150k 1st month.  For a 'real' MGS that's a bomb.

No it's not a bomb. You're overusing that term.

Is Gran Turismo a bomb on the PSP?

In America?  Without question, GT PSP moved under 20k it's first NPD iirc.  Pretty much everything high profile but Dissidia and LBP bombed on PSP last year in the US.

Again, you don't know. They're also available on the PS store so unless you have data of those sales, I don't think you can call it a bomb.

I'm in an NPD thread.  It deals with retail exclusively.  Ergo, all discussion contained within would pertain to retail.  And at retail what I said is certainly the case; BOMBs away!

Of course we have zero indication of significant PSN sales anywhere at this point for any product, so I'd say that great white hope is probably a bit suspect for your reflexive defense anyway.

I'm not defending anything really I'm just accusing you of not knowing what you're talking about. If the games are available on the PS Store, it's obvious it divides sales hence why you can't only look at retail sales and call it a bomb.

They do look like they're peaking though - I mean X360 had its best 12 month sequence but its by only 30,000 units or so. If you at the image, PS2 stabilized at 5 million at $150 / $130, Wii is fairly stable at 9 million at $200, but X360 / PS3 are very rarely stable - they tend to increase for 6-10 months with price drops and then slide back down, and then each successive price drop / new model has pushed the peak slightly higher. But I mean PS3 did almost 4m in the USA at an average price of nearly $500 and at $300 its only at 4.8m in a 12 month period. July and perhaps August may be up for PS3, so it could conceivably top 5m in a 12 month period, but without a price cut that figure should get reigned in starting in September and then through Christmas. It could be back to 4.5m or so by the end of the year. My long running theory is PS3 was to peak during September 2009 to September 2010 for HW and maybe slightly after for SW, but we'll have to see.

It's a strawman to basically say PSP games can't bomb due to PSN.  Which is exactly what you're doing.

Hey Top 20!!!

Don't Worry PSP supporters millions of copies are sold by PSN store right?

I didn't say they can't bomb I said you cannot know whether they bombed or not just by looking at retail sales.

Bombed at retail.  I can certainly say that, and did.  Welcome to the NPD thread, this is what we talk about in here.

I'm one of those PSP supporters ... and I only buy retail games. It's so sad.

lol.  Should've been a Wii game.

Interesting that Wii Sports Resort is still selling in strong volumes to the Wii base AND in strong volumes to new Wii users (since it is bundled with new Wii consoles).
