Yes but only because I am too lazy to turn it off.

I occasionally have it on, though I always have to turn it off when I'm connecting to Xbox live.
No. I like having all the red lights glow in the dark from my Wii and DVD players (yes I have two). It creates an eerie creepiness when I'm in the dark ^_^
No. I try to keep all of my consoles unplugged or have the surge protector turned off so that they don't draw "phantom" energy. I know it's not much but a little can go far in the long run.
I have basically had my Wii on for three years.
I may shut it off if I am going out town for a week or more (and unplug it as well). But other than that, I have been on-line always.
Other than a noisy drive and an occasional glitch, I have nothing about which to complain.

I am Mario.I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. Wii Friend Code: 1624 6601 1126 1492 NNID: Mike_INTV |

I think so, whether playing it online alone will do it I am not sure.... try entering the mario kart channel, and I think there will be a "download latest info" message at the bottom, or something similar anyway, that will likely restart those messages, though some of the challenges do get recycled I noticed.

Yes, but I agree it's useless right now. Well the only difference is the Weather, Nintendo and Shop channels are updated without entering them, other than than it's not really necessary.
Anyway I keep it on, just in case, but I bought an extra fan for it, cause it gets very hot.
