BBC are not allowed to advertise it on national tv because of liscensing issues, if they did, they would have to do a feature on Forza and just about every other racing game out there. So, best to just avoid it. But they might mention it elsewhere in passing.

They have already mentioned the game several times on their Facebook page over the past year so i would imagine the game should be on the show at some point before launch to raise awareness, otherwise Sony would miss a real opportunity for advertising. Not that they aren't going to spend ten's of millions advertising it anyway LOL

Well, it's certainly being mentioned on the Top Gear-page on facebook (along with other racing games).

With them having a partnership together, I would have thought that the BBC would be able to at least show it. They showed GT4 on the show didn't they? Or was it GT3? I forget lol

I really hope they do but the last time there was a mention of GT in top gear, was when the fact that the Top gear track would appear in GT5 but it wasn't referred to by name and with the current paranoia in the BBC and the witch hunt going on in the government, I don't think the BBC will want to risk it.

I don't actually understand why they can't show it after the partnership they have.

BBC are funded by a license fee that everyone has to pay if they want to watch any TV, so they are impartial on everything and feature no advertising

Anyway, seems possible, maybe a repeat of when Clarkson did a lap on GT then tried to match it in real life. They do mention PlayStations, but I think it is unlikely that we will see an actual plug

likely near or after release... if they get a deal, they at least should mention it, because top gear test track should be on gt5
