Forums - General - What's your favorite Studio Ghibli movie?

My favorite is Howl's Moving Castle, though I've yet to see Grave of the Fireflies and a few others.

The ones I've seen:

Howl's Moving Castle
Spirited Away
Princess Mononoke
My Neighbor Totoro
Kiki's Delivery Service
Laputa: Castle in the Sky
The Cat Returns
Whisper of the Heart

Princess Mononoke for me =)

Mononoke Hime is definitely the one i have seen most times, Laputa is my nostalgia favorite, Totoro is the one i love to show to people who don't know Studio Ghibli, Pompoko and Grave of the Fireflies are my favorites not by Miyazaki,  On Your Mark is my favorite music video by Ghibli (the song sucks though)...

...ok, you guys get it, there is something favorite in every one of them for me

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Grave of the Fireflies, the only animated movie that has ever made me cry, and one out of three in total. Sublime movie but I find all their movies great!

Have you seen Toy Story 3?

No. Is it so bad that it'll make my cry? If so, I think I'll steer away instead.

Might as well see it though if its bad since I've seen the three worst movies ever this year. GI Joe, Twilight and 2012, GI Joe has some flesh to stare at so it manages to arrive at one percent higher than the two others in my eyes (totalling 1% then).

Mine are:

- Howl's Moving Castle

- Naussica of the vally of the wind

Fantastic films.

I think I should mention this but Studio Ghibli made other projects like an anime show called "Future Boy Conan". had anyone heard of it? It's definitely one of my favorite anime shows of all time.

I'm still shocked at how unpopular Studio Ghibli is here in America. I mean no one in real life knows about them.

Grave of the Fireflies is, in my opinion, much better than Schindler's List and yet it's a totally unknown movie.

I really really want them to re-release their movies in blu-ray. I would totally buy them.

I've heard of most of them but have only actually seen 1.  Thus, it is my favorite.

Princess Mononoke.
