I agree with Mr. Smart Guy. This is getting more hype then the first DS, but a lot of factors will determine the sales after the first 2 years, all listed and price.

I'll wait till it gets launched then I'll make a guess.

The 3DS will sell like hotcakes. It's a 3D experience on the go without glasses i mean come on. Put Avatar the movie 3D on the 3DS and it will break records.

It's 3D! 3D is a pretty big draw-in, so of course it will sell monolithic amounts.

Given the games announced so far I would say no.  If Nintendo begins to release more interesting software then it very well may.

Huge amounts of 3rd party and the 1st party is definitely coming.

Games that gamers haven't played already.(this criticism applies heavily to both first and third party)  Nintendogs was a new experience for the DS.  Will Nintendogs cats be sufficient?  They have many revived older i.p. that are old enough to be considered new but we have a good idea of the gameplay and nothing seems to be as noteworthy of mentioning as Nintendogs cats in the sales dept.  I haven't seen anything on that submarine game though.  I discount K.I. because shoot em ups don't tend to get insanely large crowds.  

They are probably just keeping said software close to their chest so no one copies before release.  But PSP had great 3rd party support out of the gate and the PS3 and 360 have it now and we see how many sales they have. They need something more than standard 3rd party support to beat DS sales.

Research the games next time.

Look up their 1st party lineup and 3rd party lineup.

If you're complaining there's not enough new IPs, that's pretty stupid.
