Explain how I'm trolling. I've bought both Fables and I cannot stand Molyneux because of experience with his product and his false promises.

Easy. Because that's absolutely irrelevant to Fable III sales. What does your opinion of him or the games have to do with the sales of the next game? Absolutely nothing. You just saw the mention of Fable and decided to come in here and make it a "I hate Molyneux and Fable" thread.

Unlike you who stay true to the topic and dosent make this into a flame war?

OT: 150m profits on 5m sales? How is that possible? 100% profits on each copy sold?

lol, I take it you haven't read anything else of Stage's posts after E3? Don't get so high and mighty on me when you're doing the exact same thing.

It seems you don't know S.T.A.G.E as much as I do.

You think Molyneux hasn't been thought of this way for years? It probably goes all the way back to "Black and White". Good game? Yes. Delivered on all his crazy promises? No.

I would have thought differently of him if he kept all those kick ass looking armors in Fable 2. That is what makes Fable 1 so much cooler. That game kicks ass.

 




I think you are mischaraterizing him, and in doing so, doing the man an disservice. He's a very nice man, and you don't have to be that way about it.

I think he get's overexcited. That's the long and the short of it. He has all these big plans, he's so excited about it, that he can't help but tell people about it, and then he doesn't have time to impliment them.

One thing is certain, he's certainly not overly arrogant. He was VERY excited when Fable 2 got good reviews, and if anything, I think he's very humble and searching for approval from the general gaming audience about his gaming. He's a great developer who doesn't get the respect he deserves, imo, and I'd rather play one of his games than most of this overhyped exclusive bullshit we pretend is good.

I am just trying to explain why people get on Peter.

I also never said he is overly arrogant, just arrogant. Plus getting excited is one thing, but to say things like "This is stuff that science fiction writers haven't even dreamt of yet", well... this is what his problem is, he always brings products up these unrealistic levels. Dennis Dryack did similar with Too Human when he claimed that it "Will change the World".

Does it make him a bad guy? Of course not, I never said it did. I enjoy Peter's games very much. Only Fable 2 let me down recently.

Atleast Gabe has the real deal games on his plate, sorry but since Dungeon Keeper 1 Moulynex haven't done anything than promises on which he couldn't deliver.

Gabe might be fat and arrogant bastard, but he's made one of the greatest games ever, and as a PC gamer I really don't have any problems with him. Moulynex on the other hand... Don't get me wrong, Fable III is a game I'm kind of looking forward to, but...

All the hate. Fable I and Fable II shipped something like 7 million. That is something.

Fable II outsold most of the Sony exclusives. That is why a lot of Sony fans will do anything to make everything Molyneux created look bad. IMO

I can't remember you guys saying something bad about Konami for their 3 million copies target for MGS: PW.

Fable II shipped 4 million on a 20 million userbase. Now they release Fable III on a 40 userbase AND a PC version. I think it is possible to get these numbers. I am not saying it will happen for sure, but this target is not out of reach.

I was going to say that you were wrong and that Dungeon Keeper 2 was amazing, but then I saw that Molyneux  never touched DK2.

Yeah, Molyneux is just a Gabe wannabe.
