People sure overestimated Metroid's selling potential. With an audience that flees anything with a "mature" rating, there's no way a title like Other M (even though it has really good reviews) would reach a million. It might have been successful on PS3/360 lol

^Metroid has sold on Wii before, and Metroid Other M does not have a mature rating.

My total flop predictions could still be true I guess. It should have crappy legs in Americas and Japan but somewhat good at Others, that is, when you look at it's first week numbers there.

Sorry my mistake, but in France it's rated 16 year-old and above. I guess France is extra tough on games for some reason, but whatever the reason it's really a shame...

I was as well, I was too optimistic again! Metroid: Other M did however perform well in its first week of sales in North America.

Looks like the week 2 drop-off in the Americas is roughly in keeping with what Corruption had, only the absolute numbers are lower since first week numbers were lower.

Dropping a lot faster in EMEAA. I mean really fast.

Man, this game just did not perform well at all.

It should hit 700,000 before this yera is over, maybe 1M if it's a slow burner.
