"Guys I have nothing to do with Kinect Pricing. All prices now *no matter what the retail source* are placeholders. We've not announced. :>"

Guys, get out of here with th e"EPIC FAILURE" comments.  They're really not needed.

People can discuss this without melodramatic hyperbole, and it only serves to annoy people who are actually looking forward to the device or want to seriously discuss the impications of the price.

This is so lame....guess I won't be getting kinect (not that I really have room for it anyways)

149 is not much for 4 player gaming add on, stop pretending it is

The pre-order price guarantee is the same as it is on just about every major online retailer, and Stephen Toulouse did not deny the accuracy of the price.

Every major retailer in the US is listing this price, and now Microsoft themselves are listing this price.  Microsoft can say "we didn't officially announce anything" all they want, but it's quite obvious they've talked to retailers (at the very least their own store) about this.  They didn't all throw this price up in unison for the hell of it.

Sorry to burst your bubble sir, but Kinect only supports 2-player gaming.

on the screen at once yes, but you have seen what kinect can do, can pretty much guarantee with the jumping in and out feature of players that it will still work in a sense in tandem.

But none the less its still not bad for 2, as has been mentioned move costs the same for one player, the 2 main move controls ~90-100 and the camera ~50
