This fanboy war shit is just annoying and I avoid it as much as possible but one thing you said is ridiculous. Of course people are talking about their family's, the entire point of kinect is that it is targeted towards the non gamers.

I have not had a single reason to talk about my sister on these forums because she has never played a single game on my 360 or any other game system. When she runs into my room the morning after the MS E3 conference and tells me I need to get Kinect so she can play Just Dance and that fitness game don't you think thats going to leave an impression?

The reason we have started talking about our families is because they are finally interested in playing games, you may not like that but closing your eyes shut and trying to pretend like it doesn't exist doesn't make it go away.

I got nothing wrong with the 360 fans being excited about getting their mothers, fathers, wives, dogs, baby sisters, whatever involved with Kinect, there's nothing wrong with expanding gaming to new audiences. In fact, it's a great thing.

I just hope these people weren't the same ones mercilessly bashing Nintendo for doing it 4 years ago.

Yea, it's a terrible thing that some of us are married, have kids, and they are excited about our main hobby.  All of us that have kids and significant others should just disregard them for the sake of fanboy wars.

The smile on my daughters face when the Kinectimals demo came on during the press conference was priceless.  I doubt the people making this argument have kids, otherwise they wouldn't be making it.

I personally am only interested in Kinect for the new user interface that it will provide.  None of the games shown so far are my cup of tea.  The fact that my daughter finds something exciting for it is a huge bonus for me.

Wow, I go to sleep and this thread turn's into a shit storm by morning. 

Everyone who keep's defending their families, that's great that they've found something to like that involves gaming, but the Wii is one of the most popular consoles of all time, it's also the cheapest and it has an abundance of titles that are similar to what Kinect showed and I doubt your families would have missed the phenomenon that was the Wii. My point is that if they wanted that casual fun experience then they already had a pretty good console to pick from. I'm probably wrong and I'm probably being to sceptical about the whole thing, but when you have people going crazy over Kinectimals, it make's you wonder why they didn't have the same reaction to what Eyepet and Nintendog's did.

I've seen more reasonable post's in this thread than I originally thought I would, which is pretty good. To everyone coming in and sneak trolling the 360 or the PS3, please don't shit up my thread.
