I have to side with leo-j on this one, too much negativity concerning the PSP. It is doing bad on America, so what? It's outselling the X360 everywhere else. The X360 had it's on dead zone (Japan) from launch and no one really bitched about it.

The 3DS may prove fatal to the DS, but I don't think it will bring that much of a hit for PSP over it's natural YoY decline on 2011. Some people were just too impressed by a bunch of games we don't even know when the'll come out for a system with still no release date and no pricing announced. Well, it is good they are doing but we'll have to wait a little longer to see the effect of this new marketing effort. I really hope they succeed doing it, we can't rule out the system already. They also can differentiate themselves from competition through augmented reality (they should push it really hard), games like EyePet PSP and Invizimals can become big hits if they market it right, plus the best part is people will have to buy the original titles (you need that card to play those games, right? So you can't use pirate games in this case, I think) and also buy the camera, so this can bring nice profits for Sony and PSP. I really think Invizimals can be big and can be the IP to differentiate PSP from other consoles/handhelds because of the interaction people have with the monsters.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

well Im going to stop the discussion, cuz lets face it, comparing these two is...just...dumb. I dont know anyone who would play on the Iphone instead of the psp... and until they dont show me one game that is superior to the psp game I dont believe them that they have more power...Maybe the power is shown inanother way, but not in the gaming. Anyway

I'm really happy to see the psp is still taking its way, and I know a lot of people who just got their FIRST psp! cool

About time they gave it some attention.

Now, if they want it to last... TGS or GamesCom...

Give us a PSP4000, possibly with a 3D Screen so it can get some of that sexy 3DS support.

Cut the price of the 3000.

SEVERELY cut the price of the Go.

Keep up the big ad campaign.

Marcus is appalling, but Kevin Butler is funny, he does with an admittedly impudent humour what Greenberg does with sourness and Kutaragi (and very rarely Reggie) with arrogance or excessive self confidence.

Yes, Kevin too shows excessive self confidence, but really so excessive it's not possible to not understand it's part of its humour.

People hating Butler so much should check whether their sense of humour is switched off. Or whether they're actually bots.
