The girl was confirmed as the sword. You should check out the Roundtable discussion. Lots of great info on Skyward Sword story-wise as well as a bit of the philosophy the game was designed with.

Just give me a list of things you need and I'll PM them to you (separate PMs because PM formatting is stupid now) |

-bomb mechanics
-Whip mechnics
-beetle mechanics
An official thread a year before the game's release?

Well it gives it time to... languish for months before the big inevitable cinematic trailer is revealed?
I was going to recommend you to create the thread ASAP to not being shifted by someone, but seems you're as bright as me. Anyway, the art style is very similar to Galaxy 2 thread, so it's awesome.
I can explain you the beetle mode. You launch a beetle that it fixed on a stick and then with the Remote control you make it flight. The beetle can grap bombs between his claws while they're in its way.
For the bombs, you can bowl them with the Wii Remote (a movement) or toss them in the air with a movement above your head.
BTW, change the title. It's not Offical, but Official.

I'm just surprised that a mod approved this thread so far ahead of time.
But it does look nice!

ask the mod who is in good mood
I personally love the mixed art-style of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. I never understood why people hated Wind Waker so much just because it was cell-shaded. It's still a Zelda, no matter how much they change the cover of the book. Cell-shaded to me is a very unique art-style. I now say, any "Zelda fan" that hates Wind Waker and Skyward Sword for art direction, isn't truly a fan that is appreciative enough to enjoy what made Zelda games a legendary franchise in the first place. Because surely it wasn't "realistic graphics". The games always looked "kiddy" and "cartoony" before Ocarina of Time , IMO.
Well, on to the game itself. I already fell in love with it, especially after the videos I have witnessed of how smooth the controls actually are. I guess wireless interference really was a problem during Miyamoto's demo. Hm, and that was a pain to watch.

fixed.
And yes I took plenty of inspiration from the exlelent job you did in the official smg2 thread
and when more art arrives I'll do it better
I love the Deku Plants (Deku Baba), I don't know why, but I love them very much. Their artstyle is really cool!!
