The core problem there (and why 3DS only has 1 3D screen) is the touchscreen.  It destroys the 3D effect, and while Mitsubishi/Sharp/etc are currently working on solutions for that (some involving cameras) I dunno if there's going to be a solution that's "good enough" ready for Apple rollouts next summer...

True that. Then again, Apple might find a way around that problem (an expensive way), and they've shown time and again they can get away with (extremely) pricey hardware, and people will still gobble it up.

Anyway, I was sort of joking, but I could actually really see it happening. Maybe not in the next year or so, though.

I actually think the US may get it last.  Japan and Europe are Q4 this year for sure imo, America may not be until Q1 due to (1) incredible strength of DS hardware AND software here and (2) utter failure of PSP hardware and software here.   In Japan and Europe they have more reason to rush the cycle.  I expect dates by at least TGS though.

I'm positive the US price will be $199 too.  I can't see Nintendo going any higher, and I can't see them getting away with making a return on anything lower.

I think the most cruel thing that can happen to the PSP is that "Final Fantasy game" happens to be Agito.

It'll probably sell more on 3DS, so maybe it's logical

This is a Nintendo product we’re talking about; there is no chance that it will be $300 because that would make it the most expensive Nintendo system ever released. If the 3DS is expensive for Nintendo, I would expect it to be somewhere between $150 and $200; and at $200 I would anticipate Nintendo bundling it with a game.

This will come to the market between octuber/november at 199,99 with one game/demo packed with, and hey let not forgot we will be getting Ocarina of Time in 3D sorry , but nothing that sony or MS do can top that  haduhasudhas. -We even heard the word Pokémon 3D yet, and that is all that Nintendo needs...

yea pokemon will be HUGE

but what I'm excited about is like a Yu-gi-oh game or something like that.

You know you have your deck on below and you slide you card up you use to the top and then a 3d character comes out fo the card.   Or hell just imagine something simple like chess on the 3ds.

OMG just made me think of Fire Emblem.  That will be amazing, having the 3d characters on the board actually.

Does anyone care about Agito XIII anymore?

By the time its out 3DS will be dominating the charts and a PSP2 will surely have been announced.

The game will sell poorly almost everywhere

I'll be happy for the game if its moved to 3DS.

I guarantee that's not gonna happen at this TGS. This TGS will be all about MHP3, Capcom learned their lesson after RE4 PS2-GC debacle and don't want to hurt their own sales. They only announced MHP3 after MH3 was out of the Top 50 in Japan and a million seller. They'll announce a MHP3D for 3DS at TGS 2011 though for sure.

I dunno, we can still get an unspecific franchise announcement, and still see Capcom focus on MHP3 for this year.  Look at Square Enix with KH at E3, they didn't hold back on their 3DS announcement just to give BBS some time to shine... TGS really is the perfect time...

Yes but we're discussing whether or not MH3DS will be announced at this year's TGS or not. It will certainly be announced at some point, but I really doubt it'll be announced this year for the reasons I already mentioned.

Expect a MH3 DS announced and a DQX DS announced.

But next TGS not this one. I don't think SONY will let go of MH3 P exclusivity for at least 6 months.

Dragon Quest 10 is a Wii game, unless it was changed

you may as well list the xbox360 and the Wii in that because they are also Game console's.

I know your excited about the 3DS i am also, but the 3DS will not kill off the game console's

because no matter what a hand held is not going to replace a game console for your living room unless you like playing on Small screen's. yes you could hook up the 3DS to TV's most likely like the PSP but very many people do not use that function and i would imagine the same for the 3DS.

Yea, Yugioh would be awesome. I have been hoping for a console one that would work like that for years. If the monsters actually show up on the 3DS it would be amazing, but that is a hell of a lot to animate lol

PSP2 looks bleak to me. And I'm not much of a Nintendo lover myself. So I'm all open arms to 3DS!!! Just don't put on a high god damn price tag on it.

lol of course they haven't killed of consoles.

The markets are separate and will remain so.

We will still get FF on PS3 and Xbox 360 in the future, FFXIII has sold too much for them to ignore the market there

On PSP both FF games have done good sales too.

Resident Evil same again, RE5 has sold too much on PS360 for them to ignore the RE franchise on them.

On PSP dunno

Please don't couple PS3 with PSP...one of them is actually successful at selling software most of the time.
