Goldeneye Multiplayer...looks great

In the video the multiplayer gets paused and they mess with some of the settings.  You can see menus and options called Advanced Wii Remote Settings and GCN Controller Rumble.  So it looks like this game supports the Wii Remote, the Classic controller (I've seen people playing with this in other videos), and the GameCube controller.  That's a good sign.

What's GoldenEye?

I've never heard of it.

Never played the original.  I was a PC gamer before this gen and still won't use dual analogs for FPS.

It looks like a cheap cash in on nostalgia, not a leading FPS, not even for FPS starved Wii.

The split-screen would have made this a must have if Conduit 2 wasn't already doing it, with better graphics and more maps.

Of course, the online on Conduit 2 had better work this time or I might need to pick up Goldeneye afterall.   Probably will anyway but probably used or cheap.

Honestly this game has gotten me excited about gaming again in a way I wasn't sure possible. I remember the countless hours spent playing the local multiplayer at home (and my younger brother always whooped my a$$), and thoroughly enjoying every minute of it. I'm rather sure that after purchasing it (which is a no-brainer for me), I'll probably be at least a bit let down, since I really won't have anyone around to play split-screen with, but it'll be a nice way to reminisce, at the very least. Plus I really enjoyed slapping the crap out of civilians that were around. That was pretty fun.

Bah!

I'm unexcited since it's CoD: Goldeneye Edition.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Definitely, but seeing the MP video...

Hmm...I'm not sure I like the regenerating health, or the lack of Brosnan. Also, while I'm glad there's Wii remote support, it will be a huge fail if there's only 5 maps.

I'll remain optimistic for the time being.

Actually it's called Quantum of Solace:  The Adventure Continues.

To this day I still have never played a game that provided me with more pure fun than Goldeneye.

I'm jacked for the remake! 4 player split screen on the Complex. License to Kill with pistols!!!

Not really.

I played a ton of Goldeneye back in the day...and it was one of the most memorable gaming experiences in my life.  I was excited until i saw what it looked like.  someone in the liveblog said "best looking wii game ive ever seen" and I nearly wet myself in anticipation.  Then i watched the trailer.  I'm assuming the person put on the wrong prescription glasses that morning, or hasn't played anything better than CoD3.  What a let down after playing Conduit and Reflex for how many months now.  8 player online?  whoopee.  When I first heard about this remake, I spoke with several people and my only concern was that this new game would tarnish the legacy of the original...and I'm feeling pretty confident that this is the direction that the new game is going.  What a shame.
