I'm seeing a couple of lists that fail at comparing to Zelda Wii. I'm not sure why people are making lists of games that will be destroyed by Zelda Wii. But I see them.

Why would Nintendo be concerned about keeping up? They are the market leader in portables and home consoles, and they continue to be so week in, week out. They have continued as market leader in the home console space despite declining Wii sales, a continual stream of big games on the HD systems, a lack of significant 3rd party support on Wii, extremely hostile media (at times), price cuts and even a console redesign from Sony.
It's Sony and Microsoft who are trying to keep up. Why else would Natal and Move be being hyped as the next big thing? If they didn't need to keep up with Nintendo or to slow down Nintendo, we wouldn't be seeing these add-ons. Don't let the majority of the gaming media fool you into thinking it's Nintendo who are being forced to find a way to keep up. It's Sony and Microsoft attempting to take a piece of Nintendo's pie so that they're in a stronger position next generation. It's Sony and Microsoft who apparently have more to show for their home consoles this E3 because they have more work to do.
Nintendo's biggest concern right now will be Apple and the potential of the App Store to disrupt the portable market. 3DS will be given a lot of publicity this E3. We'll see what Nintendo has planned next for Wii, and I expect it to be a strong and varied line up of software (Zelda, Metroid, Xenoblade, potentially Pikmin 3, Last Story, Wii Party, Wii Relax, Retro Studios/Project Sora's games) and their next userbase expanding peripheral-vitality sensor. In the face of Sony and Microsoft's hardware add-ons, Nintendo will do what they always do-march to the beat of their own drum.

honestly. none of those games would justify buying a wii system.. MS will have natal which is meh but somthing we have Fallout new vegas, halo reach, COD black ops, possible TES V, fable 3, sims 3 confirmed for 360, possiblility for mass effect 3 and Dragon age origins 2... and well i thought of that for 5 mins, all better than all the games u mentioned combined ( except maybe zelda) |
if a new zelda that is created specifically for that console isn't worth buying the console for, no game in the world is worth it to buy a console for.
There will be way too many good and much anticipated games on display at E3 to base the victory on that. Microsoft has Natal (hyped beyond belief),Sony has Move( skepticism and conroversy surrounding it) and Nintendo has Vitality sensor. Thats how they keep up!? Motion Plus I understood, eventhough they should've allowed developers to experiment with it sooner and have yet to produce a single title that justifies my purchasing it. Balance board, looked very appealing, had potential and proved to be a boon to gaming (wii fit and that skating game). But Vitality Sensor, really? Please tell me this isn't the only new Wii tech Nintendo will have at E3.
I can't wait for Reggie to try and convince me (a Very picky consumer) to buy the vitality sensor. I don't play exercise games and there aren't any good new survival horror games available on the wii currently, at least not in America (like Fatal Frame 4). Maybe a music game, no they already tried that, well maybe a third party game...
I gave Virtual Boy a chance, it was fun briefly, so when someone I know gets Vitality Sensor I'll give it a shot as well.
I didn't mean for my thread to be like this. I know all 3 will have great shows but I was just wondering if Nintendo's focus will just be on the 3.D.S. I like the Wii and its my favorite console ever made and I even like the new games like Wii Fit but I have been hearing so much about Sony and Microsofts conference and I have heard NOTHING about Nintendo's exept for the 3.D.S. The P.S.3 is I guess the P.S.4 and Natal looks GREAT.(In my opinion) I haven't even heard about the Vitality Sensor. I do hope that all 3 do great and Nintendo is just hiding everything on the Home side for this year.
The fact of the matter is the Nintendo doesn't need E3 as much as Sony and MS do. Much of Nintendo's audience doesn't even know what E3 is.
Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

Nintendo's focus will not just be 3DS. They haven't officially announced their Q4 titles for Wii. There will be plenty of focus on Wii at E3. Relax!!
They have a 2 hour conference this year so that they have enough time to get through everything.
Probably not, but perhaps some kind of intense operating software upgrade or something. Or maybe a new Wii channel in the shop channel. That would be cool. I know for sure that they will have plenty of other surprises.
Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
