a good taste in music - many people in this thread have it, I'm delighted :)

although I have to admit, that I really like Gangster's Paradise, but as that is a re-interpretation of Stevie Wonder's Pastime Paradise maybe I'm forgiven for that

I find this thread interesting....

The reason I find this thread thread interesting is even though Snesboy started the thread with some comments that could be seen as trolling, no one has lost their nut.  People have come in and either agreed or disagreed with him, said why and in some instances have posted clips or examples of music they think back up their point.

I have never in my life seen such a civil discussion about games on this site, particularly one which started with such an inflammatory post.  I wonder why.

That's certainly at least part of the reason but I've seen threads that have started as joke posts deriding the competition etc, sometimes even as a means of creating a talking point rather than actually trolling and invariably it ends up with 4-5 pages of mudslinging where people forget what was even in the opening post.

I dare you to do a thread like this, but as Leo-j suggested, replacing rap with one of the consoles/1st party developers/exclusive franchises etc.  What do you suppose would happen?
