If the skill of said players is so pronounced then "luck" items should have little to no effect on the outcomes of a match. Thats at least what I have found.

What I think ACTUALLY happened is that, as we know, gamers tend to hold their gaming skill over each other (hence high level characters in WoW wandering in to enemy territory looking for a low leveler to accidentally attack them)

As such, a bunch of GC gamers bought melee and played by themselves for a while. They then got enough controllers/friends to play four player and turned off items becuase they didn't want to get beaten by their friends because of items, but told them it was just better that way (or told them nothing at all)

Melee addicted, as it tended to do and the people continued to play item free. Then these people get injected in to an environment where items are allowed, have no real skill in that arena and get stomped and cry foul play.

Seems more likely than massive losses to less skilled players due to randomly spawning exploding barrels (which, if you know what you are doing, are great weapons)

I'm sure any Melee expert knows how to play with items on. It's just simply a random factor. That's also the point of playing in FD. Turn off all random factors so it can be a COMPLETELY EVEN FIGHT. It's very simple to understand why it's done. The best of the best play that way, and trust me if items were turned on they'd easily defeat people who weren't on their level.

I would like to see all of them return, but if I had to narrow it down, it would be Rainbow Cruise, Final Destination, and Poke Floats.

Ugh, final destination. SO boring.

I hope they get rid of Venom. That was the WORST STAGE EVER!
