Forums - PC - The Witcher 2: Hot New(ish) Screens

I'm normally not much of a graphics whore, but I was really impressed by the latest screenshots released for the Witcher 2: The Assassin's of Kings last week.  I'm really looking forward to the game, and finally bought the first one now that I've upgraded my PC.  (It's only $19.99 for the Enhanced Edition on Steam!  Go!)

And yeah, the shots are a week old, but I don't believe they were posted here yet.

Here's the debut trailer from back in March for all those who missed it:

Looks great.  I enjoyed the hell out of the Witcher.  I wonder how they will revamp the combat (silver/reg sword combat styles).  Nothing beats playing a game as a "Potion" Head.

Best game I have played this gen on the PC.

Really impressive graphics. But I had gripes with The Witcher so I could never finish it.

Mostly it was because Geralt is such an unsympathetic character that I just can't stand him. I also hated the combat. These mo-capped hack'n'slash combos that play out by themselves - yuck!!

And The Witcher 2 will have QTEs. Ugh...

Awesome looking game. Much prettier than any Stalker game.

@Slimebeast

Fully agree. Main character is meh, combat even more meh. I also thought that many of the human enemies were just copied & pasted. All swordsmen and all archers looked exactly the same in the opening part of the game.

I am so happy u agree. Im not saying it's a bad game at all, but... u know when everyone praises a game that you feel kinda alienated towards. It's frustrating.

Looks good. Ill probably pick it up when it drops to $30 or less. I liked the first game but it had its share of problems.

Long Live SHIO!

wasn't a big fan of the first one, we'll see how this one fares.

Love the first game, but its buggy and laggy as hell.

Unless they do some more quality control I wont be buying this anytime soon.

Looks great!!

I'll be playing The Witcher 1 soon, hopefully it will give me an experience like the magnificent Oblivion!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

It's much much more closer to Dragon Age than Oblivion in both atmosphere, gameplay and it's very story heavy so there will be much dialogue, if you like DA:O you will likely like witcher too.

Can't wait for W2 myself, the first one is one of my all-time favorite games.
