The one with the most money wins.

Since it's now legal for big corp to donate any amount they want, I think whoever most corrupt will win next. Or the following term to give time for absolute corporate corruption to take effect.

An unappealing candidate has never won because they had more money, but more appealing candidates tend to be more successful at fundraising. Or to put it another way, just because having more money is correlated to being a more successful candidate doesn’t mean that having more money makes you a more successful candidate.

Hence, the reverse is still true.

Actually, its not. They've done studies on it. Having twice the money of another candidate in any given election results in an average 1% increase in votes.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Guys, i'm not from USA (correct me if i'm wrong), but i remember something i saw on television about Obama and the war.

Obama said, before election, i guess, he would stop sending troops. Maybe he would try to finish this war, but it didn't happen, actually, he send more people there.

Is this true?

IT'S TIME FOR SHENMUE III, SEGA!

All the Jews in America hate Obama. He has basically said F*** *** to Israel compared to previous presidents.

As for the topic, I would be suprised if he got re-elected. He isn't popular in the states anymore. When he was a candidate to Bush everyone believed it was like Jesus returning to earth. Since then they have realised he is just the same as the last 100 presidents.

In England he is popular though, although I don't think that counts for much

England is too leftist to support anyone but the Democrats.

Hell, if there was a Labour party in America (Old Labour), it would be declared Communist and banned.

I wouldn't expect it any other way

I have no idea....but if it is true that 70% were against the healthcare bill I wonder how he still can be re elected?

Well still two years ago and a lot can happen but I still stand with my opinion that Obama for me is just someone who can talk very well and know what to say...

Before he won it was all about change...And a few months after he won 'Well we probably will not see the results the in this four years'

Americans vote on their wallets.  If the economy turns around, Obama wins by a landslide.  If the economy stays in the gutter, Obama is gone.

I'll vote for Obama regardless of the economy, however, as personal freedoms are still the most important issue for me.

... which is why your voting for the guy who hasn't repealed any of the Bush travesties, and is instead putting in further travesties of their own on top of them?

Indeed... Freakanomics has a big thing on it.  It's really quite interseting.

I mean, think about it this way... If Bill Gates dedicated his whole fortune to winning the Presidency... would he win?

I usually make it a strong point not to talk about politics online.  However, I just wanted to enter in here to state that trying to guess if someone is going to win an election a year and a half before they do is nearly impossible.  Even with that person having a 46% rating in polls and seemingly behind in democric appeal, that appeal can change in an instant.  It happened for former president Bush due to 9/11 and it can happen to him for any number of circumstances.  From an upswing in the economy to finding a major terrorist hideout 6 months before the election.

I'd totally vote for him and hope that he'd push for the Matrix before I die.

All I have to say to that is Healthcare Mandate.
