So many defensive people. Just posting info from the magazine. After all, M$ didnt have enough money to invest in GTA4 being any type of exclusive. Looking at Rockstars sales, it's easy to say that Sony would have to find enough money for perhaps 3 million 360 sales of Agent? Do they have that to make it exclusive? 

Maybe. Rockstar do have an announcement for 360 at E3. What if it's Agent?

Splinter Cell is definately a possibility. 

The first Mass Effect is owned by M$. Unless they made a deal to have number 2 and 3 exclusive till they are all out and sold the first rights to EA for that. I dont know. 

It's all specualtion anyway without any statements.

How long did it take for Chinatown Wars to make it onto PSP?  Has the company actually released an exclusive this generation that remained that way?

Splinter Cell is definately a possibility. 

The first Mass Effect is owned by M$. Unless they made a deal to have number 2 and 3 exclusive till they are all out and sold the first rights to EA for that. I dont know.

Just the statement regarding the Mass Effect series, is that a proven fact? Because many people including me are still kinda unsure whether Mass Effect 1 is owned by MS. Yeh MS publsihed ME1 but doesn't BioWare still own the IP? I ask because you see M$ publishes the Gears of War series but Epic owns the IP, therefore M$ technically doesn't 'own' GeoW. But with Epic's case, they definitely won't be making Gears multiplat whereas BioWare is in a different case where there might be a possibility of Mass Effect going multiplat and hence rumors and speculations.

Um Um....(can't think of anything rockstar has released that is really an exclusive on a platform). . . Manhunt?

http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/11/ea-owns-mass-effect-so-what-now/ I found this on Joystiq and says that EA now owns the ip. Just look at Ninja Gaiden 2. Published by Microsoft and yet is on PS3.

M$ sont own the IP, they own the publishing rights. Hence why ME2 could appear on PS3 no probs. M$ dont own the characters etc etc, like they own Halo. They own the publishing rights to ME1. Unless they made a deal with EA to at least get ME2 and 3 on 360 first? 

Hunting on the net, it looks as though M$ made a deal for the rights to publish 2 games back when Gears 1 was being made. If M$ publish Gears 3, then Gears will never appear on any other system. M$ currently hold the pub rights to Gears 1 and 2. But as with Pub rights, there is usually some time limit, and either M$ will pay to keep rights or let it go.

People acting like PS3 "exclusives" never made their way on the Xbox 360...

Look at the sales of Rockstar / Take Two games on 360... 800k for RDR in one week, outselling the PS3 version by more than 50%. GTA IV on 360 outselling the PS3 version by a decent margin as well.

3rd party exclusives doesn't make sense for any publisher with a userbase of 40 million on the rival platform. (excluding the Wii, it couldn't handle this game anyway)



Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
