I played it for the first time in like 5 years last year and it was still amazing, I wasn't botherd by the graphics or anything, loved it from the beginning to end, kinda wanna replay it again now.

I wonder how some of those wacko parents will react when they find out you start off as a terrorist.
Depends how they do the remake... I'm more interested in new content then playing through the same old stuff.
I don't have a BC PS3, still have my FFVII discs, tried to play it one time, and I almost puked.. granted this game wasn't intended for big TV screens when it came out... then DL'd 8 and tried playing that, still looked like shit (looked good on PSP though)
I hope 9 looks better on the TV, I want to play that on the console and not my PSP...
My hands cramp up when I play my PSP or DS..
Unicorns ARE real - They are just fat, grey and called Rhinos

It aged fine because the important things are still just as great (gameplay, story, music, atmosphere, etc.). I couldn't care less if the game didn't look that good or wasn't technically impressive. Now, take Goldeneye for example. THAT is a game that hasn't aged well. When you have a game that's very technical and built on precise shooting, dull and ugly environments just don't hold up to what we have today (and don't make any lame jokes about black and grey environments).
I started playing FF VII again a couple of weeks ago, it's fine. It's still as playable as it was 13 years ago.

To me it's so ugly it's almost unplayable
(like most games in the 32 bit era)
It's so funny to think it was the Behemoth of graphics in its days - I mean... Cloud has Popeye arms!

Sure your characters look really deformed when you walk around (the hands mostly) but that's not why I love FFVII so it doesn't bother me one bit. It even adds to the charm, I wouldn't want to see a cross-dressed Cloud in HD but it looks funny in it's current form.
This game is to be enjoyed for the story and most of all the battle system.
Edit: I also could easily live without a remake. (Although I'd probably buy it if they made one)
Signature goes here!
ff7 hasnt aged well at all and everything but the graphics have held up ok, a graphic update, with voice acting and rumble feature and analog support would make this game a huge success once again with todays crowd. ff8 has held up really good and i am so glad since its my favorite ff game ever.
