It aged fine because the important things are still just as great (gameplay, story, music, atmosphere, etc.). I couldn't care less if the game didn't look that good or wasn't technically impressive. Now, take Goldeneye for example. THAT is a game that hasn't aged well. When you have a game that's very technical and built on precise shooting, dull and ugly environments just don't hold up to what we have today (and don't make any lame jokes about black and grey environments).
