According to a Eurogamer.pt report, Tekken series director Katsuhiro Harada has apparently announced a seventh edition in the series

at an event in Madrid.

Not much else was said other than confirmation of development, and that it was in pre-production during a speech held in the city.

It comes as Tekken 6 was only released last year for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PSP. That was announced back at E3 2005,

with an arcade release in 2007.

The console version was re-revealed at Tokyo Game Show 2008 during the keynote of  ex-corporate VP of Xbox, John Schappert,

who had confirmed the series would be coming to 360 for the first time.

Back in 2003, me and my friends were joking around that Tekken 7 will only be a black screen on a disc. We were huge Tekken addicts back then...

I guess that we'll see the truth soon enough...

tekkn 6 ws very gud. SSIV fans sabotaged tekkn 6 whch ment tekken 6 had low hype. This tekken will put tekken bck on top.

I was dissapointed in Tekken 6, hope it becomes a PS3 exclusive for quality's sake.

Is this coming to the 360? Speaking of tekken 6, I need to pick that up.

6 sucked, no improvements and terrible graphics it was a ripoff, i pray they dont repeat the same mistakes

i don't think 6 sucked, its the fact that it was a 4 year old port when it was released, they should have released it ages ago.
