This is true. I think people may appreciate an overload of games more if they weren't, you know, overloaded.  It seems odd that they would announce everything before E3, so I don't think this is the case.

i think the reason they announce things early is to wet the appetite, we havent seen really anything about killzone 3 or the recently rumoured uncharted 3, so the more they feed the lure the more we bite and the more we are going to be watching e3 with wide open eyes.

LBP2 trailer was a complete success everywhere i go on the web i see positive comments the hype and popularity for that title has now completely gone gold, sony is playing it perfectly i think, if you leave to much to the imagination of your customers in this industry they can become easily disappointed but showing a little at a time and keeping some things hidden is a perfect strategy, are you not completely hyped out your ass right now???

@flacomeza: that's exactly what I've been thinking, as of late Sony has been throwing out alot of confirmations and rumors lately which are(in my opinion ) E3 worthy, hopefully this means Sony will have some mind-blowing announcements at E3

Precisely! And I don't believe we have seen what the LBP2 is capable of either..jsut a 'taste' of what it can do..

If you really think about it, we do not know much about Sony 2011 line up as of yet and as usual E3 will be where they will showcase it

'IMHO" I think AGENT wiill be HUGE! Especially with the current success of RDR

KILLZONE,LBP,etc franchises have already come this gen and have made big news.making a new one would be big but it wouldn't be that big

 

so they are rleasing the info now

 

and then the big exclusive and other shockers and new franchises and older ones coming back at E3
