Is not the first time they don't include a score for story in a game. That happens everytime is not relevant and I don't see what's wrong with that criteria.

Story is a pretty stupid criteria to score a game on anyway, especially for a Mario game.

I don't exactly play Mario games for the compelling story, or really any game for that matter.

Story simply isn't relevant in certain genres and kinds of games.  Forcing a story into a platform game simply isn't necessary and shouldn't be done unless it enhances the game.  Doing so would be like shoe-horning solid run and jump mechanics into an RPG game, sure it could probably be used but it's never going to be a integral part of the game.

Don't get me wrong, it truly deserves the score. Its not fair for the rest of the games (ex. Red Dead)

I understand what do you mean, but how cane you give a story score to certain games? Take Gran Turismo 5 for example...what story score would you give to it? I personally think that is wrong the idea to give a story score to games in general.

**actually, i think it's more fair than what other reviewers do which is to make a one-size-fits-all mold for reviews and just score games based on one criteria. also it makes way more sense.

it's not like all games need a final fantasy storyline, or a Halo like multiplayer shooter mode, each game should just be rated on how good it is, not if it happens to incorperate things that aren't even necessary (or wanted) for it's genre
