Forums - Gaming - VG Chartz, I need you...

I don't know how you guys can pick number one favs, for me it's impossible. I mean, go back and play your 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or whatever picks. Do you still think the same? I feel like most of my favorites are just at the ceiling of awesomeness, since they can't really get any better it's useless to try and pick one out of the bunch.

Well, I'll just give two (yes, breaking your rule) that may be missed without my mention:

Yes, Heroes fans, I loved IV too. Give it another try if you disliked it at first - I played it again just this year, and burned an entire week's vacation on it. Roaming with hero parties (literally an army of up to 7 heroes) is just the greatest thing ever.

Horrible boxart, amazing game. Just in the past 2 years I've beat it, maybe 15 more times?

Oh, on another note, I'm also shocked to see so many choices from this gen.

Ah Heroes... the days... Heroes of Might and Magic II was the first game I ever bought (I've played the hell out of the first at friends place), I've played it for a year straight, every day, several hours, alone, with my brother, with my cousins, with my friends, alone. Has a dear place in my heart and started my love for turn based strategy games. Heroes III were even better than II and I thought that wasn't possible. Sadly IV and V were bitter disappointment. But it's nice to see a fan of the series.

My game would have to be Metal Gear Solid 4 if we're counting the overall experience. But it's not the game I've played the most by any means, that would be either Heroes II/III, Age of Empires I/II, Ultima Online, Counter Strike, Warcraft III or World of Warcraft (and soon Starcraft II).

MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising

I couldn't pick. Theres so many games that I love that theres none of them my most favorite.

This was rather hard.  I was almost 100% sure I knew what it was, until I had a picture loaded up.  I just did not feel right, but this definitely does:

I have beaten Suikoden 3 6 times (that I can remmeber) putting in about 60-70h each time.  Cannot think of any other game (that is not an MMO) that I have put nearly this much time into.  The Trinity Sight System is awesome and needs to come back in Suikoden 6!!!!!!!!!!

Learned something new about you today, after knowing you for how many years?

Its been a few years :)  Is nice to see this topic take off.  To many, What I call "Butthurt", threads lately.

I hear it man.

hate to step in the middle of this reunion of good friends, but i haft to agree with that thread thing.

Doom 2.

Have yet to find anything as adrenaline pumping as a 4 player doom 2 game on some levels.

I'll narrow it down for you though. It's either MGS4, Heavy Rain or KoTOR. Guild Wars 2.

Of course, that's all that matters. :P

I concur.

You realize the HR Gods are with me! The fight to MT Quantic Dream will be without you if you disobey any longer!

My Cage-sense will tell me when I am needed, and I will be there! To fight!

But until then, I will be fighting for the power to make MMOs interesting again. FOR GUILD WARS 2!

Extremely impressive game, yet Bioshock really didn't do it for me. Go figure.
