That's what they're supposed to say. But it really sold poorly :/

But theres one fault in your argument, you can be sued for lying to shareholders. Since its a public company, and they HAVE TO disclose all business changes to their investors, this is an entirely accurate statement.

You can't lie to investors... but you can adjust your PR statements.  After all, what does "in line with" revised expectations really mean?  I can truthfully say that Arlen Spector's performance in the primary was in line with revised expectations...

That's because they didn't expect anything from the game.

I'll believe that when my sh*t turns purple and smells like rainbow sherbet.

An underrated game in my opinion, I really enjoyed it and think it deserves to have sold more than 160k.

They expected 500k LTD. Perhaps they mean it's in line with where they thought it would be at this point in time...

I'm just waiting for the price to drop an other 5£, then i'll contribut to what will apparently be profit on the game.

Hmm... I wonder if it'll manage their projected 500k, eventually.

I'm playing the game right now, and it's a blast. Definitely a quality product. Here's hoping they'll do a RS3.

Same here ...

Most interestingly is the revelation that a massive 42% of Ubisoft's software sales last year were on Wii, with 17% on DS, PS3 on 12% and Xbox 360 only mustering 8%. Bear in mind that highly-acclaimed adventure Assassin's Creed II launched on both HD formats at around the same time as the Wii received Just Dance and you start to get the picture.

These percentages are false; they aren't over the last year; they are from Q4 2009. From April 2009 to April 1st 2010, the Wii had 26%, not 42%.

It was still the highest one somehow, despite Assassin's Creed 2 tripling it in shipments.........

Talk about low expections then. Its a good game. I think the first game being so bad really put most people off. Did me at first too.

That and it seemed to be more of a game for the reviewers and enthusiasts more than the mainstream, with the cell-shaded samurai western (I like the look, but that's not something with mainstream appeal) and the lack of any multiplayer.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
