And...

What does he expect when he lies to an entire fanbase?

Well, at this point any fanbase that finds themselves sitting in last place should probably expect to be lied to on a regular basis.  At least Wada didn't say he'd cut his own head off or anything. ;)

This would make sense if the last place system didn't just handily defeat the one ahead of it regarding the game. The PS3 is miles behind the 360 in the US and look closely @ FFXIII's #s. Nevermind Others.

My thoughts exactly.

And it makes it even funnier that the very same LAST PLACE fanbase gets the game... Rather than say the... FIRST PLACE console? Wonder why that is... For a large number of games really...

it would be ok if they didnt throw away half of the content... but of course they would.

who else was disapointed being in nautilus park and seeing all those blocked exits to other parts of the park that would make it feel like the golden saucer?

ffxiii was a huge dispointment compared to expectations and the way that square enix hyped it (it wasnt just the fans, they promised us the best ff ever)

but yeah right, i guess wishing the game was better makes me a selfish person cause "not as many people will play it"

well i'm a gamer, i only care about the quality of the stuff i play!

if they mess with the world map and all the stuff that we already know nomura is doing.... i will... for the first time in my life.... send hate mail to them.

i know it's not gonna do anything but i'll get off my chest at least.

Content was not removed because of the 360. This has been proven.

The content was removed because SE decided to cut corners to save time and money and they new people would buy the game anyway (which they did).

And yes, you are selfish for wanting the game to be a PS3 exclusive. Why does it matter if people who bought an Xbox 360 get to play the game.

Sony fans reactions make me wonder what how the Nintendo owners felt as SE quietly slipped FFVII onto the PS1. Nintendo owners have taken that situation gracefully.

I don't believe Nintendo fans were happy either, though they probably weren't as vocal as the PlayStation crowd. Either way, the move back then was less about $ and more about fidelity (CD vs Cartridge).

And back then, it was Squaresoft.

Thats an issue of space and yes I agree that can be a major thing for devs but thats not my point. The PS1 was well over 64 bit yet delivered games graphically on par with the N64 (I dunno why).  The question in mind is really how the Nintendo owners felt. The gamecube could've handled any FF that came out in the same generation and Nintendo owners got the Crystal Chronicles. It truly forced people to buy PS2's if they were FF main story fans. Squaresoft owned. I miss them.

what i dotn' get is why people care soo much.

you still get the game. gol its like if someone came to work and normally brings you a donut everyday, then one day he starts bringing donuts for everyone.

why are you having a hissy fit, you still get your donut everyday, why should you care if other poeple are getting one now too.

just shows how mature the video game world is

Being solely attatched to Sony gives some fans a feeling of superiority. PC/PS3 owners?........don't get into that part. Thats elitist mentality at its finest.

This guy is really a big dumbass isn't he ?

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

From my perspective I'm surprised that Wada reacted with surprise. So for me it's a case of...

whadda surprise, Wada's surprised.

like i said (and some of you dont seem to get it) i dont care... as long as nothing needs to be changed for that to happen. do i believe or trust them when they say nothing was changed for tha sake of porting the game? of course not. they lied about lots of stuff, they'd do it again in a blink.

and i dont care if its selfish all i care is about what's in the disk that goes in my console thats all.

They probably weren't as vocal because there was logical reasoning as to why they didn't make FFVII on a Nintendo console. I believe the FF Retrospective on GameTrailers even said that they began development for FFVII on the N64, then they just ran into too many snags, so they switched platforms, because the technology at hand wasn't what they needed for the game they wanted.

Nowadays? Yea Sony, we'll make an exclusive. 3 years later "yea, it's still exclusive". 6 months before release? "Sorry, it's multiplatform now". It's a giant slap in the face. And I mean really, we all knew the PS3 was doing bad in 2007. Why didn't they announce multiplat status of FFXIII then when IT ACTUALLY MADE SENSE TO DO SO, instead of in mid-2008 when the PS3 was rapidly regaining marketshare due to the price cut?

What was the logic? 2007 "The PS3 is doing really terrible right now...but we'll keep our game exclusive to the console". 2008 "The PS3 is really picking up steam, and the userbase is growing to the point where I think it warrants the game being exclusive...but we'll make it multiplat anyway".
