I've played yakuza 3 & I'm not sure which genre it fits into.

It didn't feel like an RPG because of its combat system, but it had levelling up.

Its combat is very beat em uppy, but with more strategy that can be used if needed.

All I know is its what GTA4 should have been. Because its story driven but has side missions/minigames that are ACTUALLY FUN, not monotonous "kill them", "go on a date with her" stuff that was in GTA4.

Yakuza 3 is interactive in so many more ways that GTA4 was & more fun with a better story & main character.

If rockstar must make another GTA game like GTA4 they should take inspiration from Yakuza (unless Rockstar are going back to the GTA:San Andreas style.....I want my planes back).

Actually LISTEN to what people who have played the game are telling you, don't shrug off what they say without a moments thought, severance is a fan of the series.

of course Yakuza is Beat em up. The ppl in this dont understand what makes a genre a genre which is the core gameplay which in Yakuza's case would be a beat em up, uf may have elements of RPG's, its styles of gameplay may be a sandbox but at its core it is a 3D beat em up

Then theres the silly ppl that think you have to play game to know its genre? I understand the story buy genre? ridiculous. I find pretty scary that ppl dont know games genre before the buy it.
