I think the ps2 may have release in another country,hens the high san adreas sales but still that's pretty cool for the ps2

PS2 its the most succesfull console ever, and it gonna be very hard for other home console reach his numbers, and its still gonna sell well for at least 2 years, because Sony now its marketing in developeing countrys like Brazil (almost 200M of habitants), asia, etc....

I believe the PS2/P was released in like vietnam or another Asian country.

Keep in mind that a lot of people in less developed countries world are only able to get PS2s now due to price and availability.

Sega Master system and Sega Genesis sales surged in South America and Eastern Europe in 1992 and 1998 respectively.

It also shipped more than the PSP...(1.4m)

Only 500k off the PS3 as well. The PS2 just keeps on chugging along, haha.

That's what you get for being the best console ever. Period.

About 145 Million PS2 are out there. Compare that to the previous best PS1 with about 105 Million Sold Units. Its amazing.

And know it even outsells Xbox360 and PSP. Damn. We will eventually see 160 Million PS2s LTD. And a Nintendo 3DS is coming soon. I doubt the Nintendo DS will break PS2 record. Even though I thought it will, but after 3DS and this news I dont think so. I also doubt the WII can do it.


PS2 will be the best selling console for a long time if the market is also splitted on 3 groups next gen.
