I kind of like the grass one but then again it has too much bling-bling. The fire one is throw up worthy and the water one could have been so much better.

Gecko Grass Type? Treeko is a Gecko Grass Starter and Treeko looks better than that.

Sea Otter Water Type? Looks pretty bad

FIRE BREATHING PIG?!!! OMFG If the 3rd Evolution is anything that looks like a Grumpig I'm never using it.

Right now If I had to choose I'd use the Grass dude. But I usually pick my starter depending on it's 3rd Evolution so we'll wait and see...

need to see final forms, not gonna judge the otter yet, somehow they made a fucking penguin badass so maybe theres hope for the otter, but right now a fire boar isnt really crackin so maybe grass starter?

Overall, all the designs shown are meh. So far Nintendo isn't selling this game to me.

I just want to point out to everyone, the majority of people were saying 'the starters look like crap' when they were shown for BOTH Ruby/Sapphire and Diamond/Pearl. Yet now they're accepted and considered quite common.

More than likely people will do the same with these starters. Especially after they see their later forms and find some use for them (such as an overpowered spamming move or one who is more powerful than the other like Swampert or Infernape was in past gens).  Focusing on how they look is pretty weak, especially as they'll change when they evolve.

I think the bigger news is the new design for the main characters. The girl with the cut off shorts and the wavy hair is the cutest girl they've designed yet. Too bad I've quit Pokemon so I can't appreciate it.
