Forums - Gaming - Hardcore Gamers are not Halo fans, casual gamers are.

Water is also wet. Or so I've heard...

Halo is a game the hardcore, moderate and casuals can all enjoy. Reach is tons of fun, I played it yesterday. There is a reason Halo remains untouched and that is simply because of gameplay.

You will not last long with threads like this, troll, I am a hardcore gamer, and I love Halo, do I like other shooters a bit more , sure, Play Halo on Legendary , its not that easy, but its fun and that is what matters, From your post I get the feeling you are a PC gamer, A lot of PC gamers look down on consoles, I don't know why but they do, I own a PS3 and 360 and I play the shit out of both of them, If your not a Halo Fan thats fine, but have some respect for your fellow gamers, Halo is one of the best shooters on , shit in my opinion any platform, sales and its following show it, All the games you listed as better then Halo, I dam near fell of my couch laughing , thats all I will say.

Yes, damn those people who think differently then one person on the internet, damn them and such...*massive sarcasm*.
I seriously don't see the hate for Halo. I don't own a 360, but I like it. It's very well balanced and I find it to be one of the best online shooters. I haven't played single player much but the multiplayer is ground breaking. Compared to most shooters out there, Halo is king.
And I don't know many soccer moms that bought a 360 to play teh casual Halo.

People, don't feed the troll. You're just playing into their game by responding to his or her flamebaiting thread.

Troll thread but it is extremely true. However you are off on your main reason. The main reason is that the game requires very little skill when compared to other games out there.

lol, what is your definition of hardcore. If it means requiring skill to play then halo is as hardcore as it gets. A good player will thrash a bad one 100 out of 100 times. There will be no lucky kill from behind. The extra and regenerating health is what makes the game impossible for casuals except if they are facing other casuals. You can't just think o at least i damaged the enemy, now I can easily kill him. If you don't get the kill it's all for nothing if a teammate doesn't finish him.

i don't like halo, but people who like it are not dumb asses. their is something called taste? not everyone like jrpgs.

Well, that's not true for all cases. I agree that skill plays the most important part in competitive online in Halo, but a bad player with a Rocket Launcher can still get lucky, even against pros, especially on RL only matches.

You've obviously never played Halo or you've never played it online because you would know its the one FPS that might take the most skill to be good at.
