I read an article a few weeks ago in the Guardian that said the BNP did best in areas of high poverty rather than of high immigration...

Sometimes you will find (often in my region) they are the same thing. Now i'm not saying that immigrants are poor at all, just that your average Joe person probably isn't as wealthy as perhaps somebody who has grown up within the country.

true enough, the UK has awful inequality though, I reckon if people had more help and better education they would be more likely to see the benefits we get from immigration.

Yes maybe they would see the benefits, they would also understand the numerous problems associated with excessive immigration as well.

Slimebeast I like yer dog an all & I do agree us dog people need to stick together in this catty cat internet, but the BNP would destroy this country!!

Slimebeast, the BNP are socialists too but the immigration policies are the ones that get all the attention.

Yeah, that sucks about many nationalist parties in the world. The legacy of Hitler in economic policies too.

He never said he wanted them in. He stated he wanted them to have a greater influence so they could apply more pressure on the main parties. This would result in a shift right in the political system.

"Life is but a gentle death. Fate is but a sickness that results in extinction and in the midst of all the uncertainty, lies resolve."

exit polls and opinion polls contradict each other, lol, typical, remember they are notoriously unreliable, the truth will come as the individual seats start coming in officially!

I voted Conservative.

A vote for Lib Dem could still mean Gordon and Labour are in power somewhat. Fuck no to that IMO.

That, and Nick lost my confidence in the last TV debate.

Labour will probably still get in all around my area. It's an ex mining town so... Yeah. I need not explain.

Oh well, at least i put my vote to use.
