Firstly, get a grip. Nobody is debating the game doesn't deserve the score, or even comparing it to HD scores.

Secondly, stop trying to cause MORE arguements in a thread that doesn't need them.

And what are you talking about 'trying to cause arguments'? I was expressing my lulz @ the way some people overreact. I wasn't literally quoting anyone, so if anyone feels addressed or something, then perhaps I was right. (Actually, I was anyway.)

By looking from my perspective, both sides, are taking this way too seriously. Edge is not here to please anyone, they are writing what they think about the game. Disagree or agree, it won't change a thing.

Oh man.

I'm not taking anything about this too serious, which should be obvious from my previous posts... I never agreed nor disagreed with the review, at all. In fact, as you can see all I did was make fun of how seriously some people seemed to take this whole thing. I honestly couldn't care less about Edge or their reviews, really, but a lot of people apparently do.

But aren't we having a serious discussion, about how serious someone is? :)-(-

I do not care is it got a 1/10 or if Halo REACH got a 10/10, or even if they gave MGS4 a 10/10, they are still bad reviewers. I am not saying that SMG2 does not deserve the score, but either way, they have completely lost my trust as reviewers with ridiculous scores, so for now, i will wait for other reviews to go in.

This is actually a very good review. It's eloquent, lucid, and communicates everythingn that needs to be known about the game without needlessly weighing it down.

I was ready to eat some popcorn when I read the title. Than I saw a ten. Than I went from to

Anyway this better than the first galaxy! The only reason they made this game was that it was based on leftover ideas. If they left the best ideas out. Than its offcial. Nintendo is greedy

Nintendo: Though I say we put the best ideas in the 2nd game so we can charge them anthor
$50. And make them pay for the 1st have the boring levels compared to the 2nd one. That way they'll get tricked into buying the first one and likeing it. Than make the 2nd one better to make them buy ti again. We earn twice as much money and spend less. Its perfect!

They write like that all the time. They are well written most of the time, but most of the time the scores are complete fish paste.

Do not judge a review on its score, but by its content. If you judge reviews based on their scores, you're basically ranking video games according to their title screens and ignoring everything else about them.

Games don't always need to redefine the genre.

A truly great game can simply define the genre. Take whats already there, perfect it and nail it down as the perfect way to do that kind of game.

Final Fantasy VI didn't do a huge redefinition of JRPG's (FFVII may have) but it nailed down the sprite based JRPG with a near perfect game in the genre.
