It could had real time gameplay, like animal crossing. In an Open world, the order of the dungeons doesn't really matter to much, you can only access some dungeons at specific time of the day.

Pokemon works like a charm with that mechanism, why not zelda?

That's an interesting idea - I might even prefer Zelda with an open world.

Erhm ...someone may all ready quote you about this but erhm ...every single zelda is a open world game , in fact zelda created the concept on open world game ^~

It sounds like they really want this new Zelda game to surpass Ocarina of Time, can't wait til E3.

Seriously though, a bold game change would be to add co-op and/or to add the automatic playthrough like they did for NSMBWii to help newbies through the tougher dungeons.

Maybe the super guide or automatic playtrough will be in Zelda Wii. I remember have seen a hint system a year ago in a Zelda game.

That's highly likely to happen. And that's good, since more people will be able to enjoy the game. I expect some good casualization for the franchise.

But it'll be equal to other zeldas (overworld, dungeouns, itens, bosses). It'll differ most in gameplay - intuitive uses of motion plus for lots of things (can't wait!) - and visual style, since it'll be probably very different from TP.

I think its totally possible , with a good change and more adult graphics, fans and critics alike will fall in love for the game.
